15759 Making Formative Assessment Meaningful in the Math Classroom

We know ongoing formative assessment is more critical than ever in math instruction, so how do we make the most of these assessments to guide our instruction? Join this virtual session on March 24th from 3:15-4:45 to explore different assessment strategies that help us make informed decisions about next steps in math learning. We will explore guidance for best practices in this unprecedented time to ensure students are receiving rigorous instruction and learn strategies for checking students’ learning needs with a variety of formative assessments. This program is intended for math teachers and instructional coaches in grades 2-8.

Who is Eligible? North Carolina certified pre-K through 12th grade teachers who are employed in North Carolina public schools, including charter schools, are eligible to attend NCCAT programs. (This may include school administrators, counselors, library media specialists, lead teachers, and mentors.)

Please check with your principal prior to applying to be sure your travel/substitute teacher costs will be covered by your school.

NCCAT Online NOTICE: As of July 1, 2022, registrants are limited to two (2) NCCAT Online courses per quarter.

What is Provided? NCCAT provides your food, lodging and programming. Teachers and/or their districts are responsible for travel and substitute teacher costs.
