15863 K-5: Engaging in Vertical Alignment for "Just in Time" Learning
Identifying priority concepts and re-engaging students in prior learning is critical for classroom instruction. Collaboration, now more than ever, is vital to our work moving forward. In this session, we will explore research-based guidance for moving forward in math and reading instruction and engage in vertical alignment with colleagues from across NC. There will be opportunities to delve into the NC Math and Language Arts Standards, discuss priority content, and vertically align with colleagues in collaborative grade-span groups. We will learn a protocol for facilitating effective vertical alignment and spend time using this protocol in groups to develop vertical understandings of math and reading concepts. Join us as we collaborate with colleagues and make connections with the NC Standards. This one-day program is best designed for teachers and instructional coaches in grades K-5.
No classes are being offered at this time for this course.
