Create your Own NCVR Adventure

With the changes being made to Google Expeditions and apps like Google Poly, how can you continue to place the power of virtual reality into the hands of your students? What if you and your students could create virtual reality projects to experience our state, local and national parks as well as historical sites. Join us to collect digital artifacts of the beautiful places in our state and learn how to use our devices, apps, and free websites to create virtual reality projects that foster engagement, critical thinking, and creativity. You will be inspired by your surroundings to create an interactive VR experience, and share with others. Student created VR can be used as a choice in any situation where teachers would use traditional digital projects like slide presentations, posters, infographics, and brochures. The end products can be viewed through Google Cardboard, Goggles, or using a simple link. This program is designed for K-12 educators, school counselors, and anyone eager to take learners on adventures.

Applying to NCCAT

Who is Eligible? North Carolina certified pre-K through 12th grade teachers who are employed in North Carolina public schools, including charter schools, are eligible to attend NCCAT programs. (This may include school administrators, counselors, library media specialists, lead teachers, and mentors.)

Please check with your principal prior to applying to be sure your travel/substitute teacher costs will be covered by your school.

NCCAT Online NOTICE: As of July 1, 2022, registrants are limited to two (2) NCCAT Online courses per quarter.

What is Provided? NCCAT provides your food, lodging and programming. Teachers and/or their districts are responsible for travel and substitute teacher costs.

How Do I Submit an Application? Select the events you wish to apply for in the shopping cart below.

How Do I Know If I've Been Accepted? Once we have received your completed application, we will email notification of your placement status to you as well as your principal/director. To ensure that you receive any and all emails from NCCAT, please add noreply@orbund.com to your email address book.
